PTA Meeting 9-12

Valencia Elementary School would like all parents to join us for the first official PTA meeting of the year @ 8:30 in the cafeteria on 9-12. This meeting will be a great opportunity to hear about the upcoming year, and will have guest appearances by the new Superintendent, Martin Galindo, and Officer Gomez from Safety and Healthy Schools. We hope to see you there.

First Modified Day Wednesday - August 28, 2013

The first Modified Day of the 2013-14 school year will be on Wednesday, August 28th. Please remember that all Wednesdays for the remainder of the school year will be modified and students will have an early dismissal time. Please check the school calendar link for the dismissal time for your child.

Important Message for School Start and Dismissal

Please remember that students arriving by car in the morning should be dropped off at Gate 2, on the side of the school cafeteria along our service driveway. Students who walk to school may enter at Gate 1 in the front of the school or through the school office after 7:45 a.m. Grade 1-5 students picked up by car at dismissal time will reunite with their parent or guardian at Gate 3. Grade 1-5 Students who walk home will be dismissed at Gate 1. Special Note: All Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten students are to be picked up at Gate 2 only. Thank you in advance keeping our student's safety as your highest priority as you drive near our school. Please respect all traffic laws and refrain from blocking our neighbor's driveways at anytime. Thank you.

Summer Reading Program 2013

Please join us with your family and friends at The Pico Rivera Express Library for the summer reading program 2013. Starting Saturday, June 15th and continuing through Saturday, August 10th. Offering kids a chance to maintain their reading skills over the summer and prepare them for the upcoming school year.

Chuck E. Cheese, May 1, 2013 Fundraiser

Please join the Valencia Elementary Family for a wonderful opportunity to have fun and help raise funds for our school. Please plan your family outing to Chuck E. Cheese located at 6005 Rosemead Blvd., for Wednesday, May 1st between 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Chuck E. Cheese will donate 15% of all sales between 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. to Valencia Elementary. We look forward to seeing you there and to turning fun into funds! Thank you

Parent Workshop

Learning strategies to get your kids excited about math!
Please join us on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Valencia Auditorium from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm Light refreshment for parents will be served. We will also be having Gift certificates and raffles for parents who attend.
Childcare and snack will be provided for Valencia students.
