Please join the Valencia Elementary Family for a wonderful opportunity to have fun and help raise funds for our school! Please plan your family outing to Chuck E. Cheese located at 6005 Rosemead Blvd., for Wednesday January 16th between 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Chuck E. Cheese will donate 15% of all sales between 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. to Valencia Elementary. We look forward to seeing you there and to turning fun into funds!

The Valencia Elementary School staff wishes all of our Valencia families a safe and warm holiday season and a happy new year! School will resume on Monday, January 7, 2013.

Please plan to join us for the annual Kindergarten Recital on Thursday, December 6th at 6:00 pm for an evening of music and holiday celebration. Your family will also be able to take a photo with Santa Claus starting at 5:00 p.m. One picture will cost $3.00 or you can buy two photos for $5.00. Pictures will be ready at school the following week. The funds raised from the photo fundraiser will be used to help pay for the kindergarten field trip.

The Valencia Elementary PTA is also having a Winter Fundraiser Dinner before the Kindergarten Recital! Come early and enjoy a festive tamale dinner with your family before the show and help support our school.

When: Thursday, December 6th 2012
Time: 4:30 p.m.
Prices: $3.50 (One tamale dinner with rice and beans), $5.00 (Two tamale dinner with rice and beans), $1.00 (Coffee, hot cocoa, soda or water).

Valencia Elementary is currently holding the annual Holiday Canned Food Drive. Please plan to participate by donating non-perishable food items to school. The Valencia PTA will also be holding its annual Holiday Boutique from December 3rd through December 7th. All items and crafts will be priced from $3.00 to $5.00. Both events will provide an opportunity to celebrate the season and a chance to support our school!
Finally, please plan to attend our Holiday Program featuring our wonderful kindergarten classrooms. Pictures with Santa and snacks will be among the fundraising activities available on Thursday, December 6th. Please join us for an evening of cheer and Lightning Bolt spirit!

The joy of reading and storytelling is coming to Valencia Elementary the week of October 29th! Students will have the opportunity to purchase books and win prizes throughout the week during our fall Book Fair. The Book Fair will also be open during Spooky Story Night on Tuesday, the evening of October 30th beginning at 6:00 p.m. Please plan to come and enjoy an evening of costumes and amazing tales! Please remember students can wear their Halloween costumes on Spooky Story Night, but not to school on Halloween on Wednesday October 31st. On Halloween Day students can show school spirit by wearing Halloween colors; orange, green and purple.

Valencia Elementary is a proud participant in the Box Tops for Education program. We all shop for groceries, sometimes two or three times a week –- or more. Now we can turn those shopping trips into support for our school, and encourage friends to do the same! Just look for the Box Tops logo on hundreds of products in almost every aisle of the store. All you need to do is clip and send them to your school with your child and turn them into our school library. Thank you for helping our school!

Please help our school raise funds by turning in your receipts from ANY Fresh & Easy store in California. Each receipt must have a minimum purchase of $20.00 in order for Valencia to get funds. For every $20.00 spent, the school receives $1.00. We have 2 boxes available for dropping your receipts, one in the office and another at the REACH sign-out table. Thank you for your continued support!
