"Bag of Books" Kindergarten & Transitional Kinder Event

Parents of students in Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten are invited to attend Valencia's "Bag of Books" Event this Friday, September 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the cafeteria. Each Valencia Elementary Kinder/TK student will receive a bag of books on behalf of The Gilbert and Jacki Cisneros Foundation.

Back to School Night

Just a reminder that Back to School Night will be held on Tuesday, September 18th. A PTA Fundraiser Dinner will begin at 4:30 p.m., prior to the Back to School Night event which will commence at approximately 5:00 p.m. with an opening assembly followed by classroom presentations. Welcome Back Lightning Bolts!

We hope you had a relaxing and adventure-filled summer. The Valencia Elementary staff is looking forward to meeting our new and returning scholars! The first day of school is Wednesday, August 22nd. Please check the 2012-13 Bell Schedule under the Students tab for class start times. Students who walk to school may enter and exit through Gate 1 located at the front of the school. Students who arrive by car are to be dropped off at Gate 2. Please turn left into the school parking lot driveway and proceed to the Gate 2 drop-off zone located behind the cafeteria.

Valencia Wins District Perfect Attendance Award!

Thank you, Valencia Parents and families, for supporting our efforts in improving daily student attendance. For the month of April, 97% of our Lightning Bolts had perfect attendance-- the highest district average! Help us meet the challenge of keeping the award at our school for the months of May and June.
