Project Based Learning through the Arts

Valencia Elementary is embarking on an exciting new adventure this year with the expansion of our fine arts program for all grade levels which will include music and arts instruction and appreciation, museum field trips, community partnerships and parent involvement workshops. Educational research shows that a strong foundation in the arts offers our young scholars a significant advantage in their educational performance and provides life-long academic enrichment. We are excited to add three new part-time arts teachers to our staff this year; Mr. Reggie Cordero – Orchestral Music, Ms. Jacqueline Cisneros – Vocal Music, and Ms. Carolyn Robledo – Fine Arts. These arts specialists will be working with our students and teachers throughout the year and we look forward to expanding our student’s creative and musical world.
