RED RIBBON WEEK: OCTOBER 22-26, 2012

Red Ribbon Week has been a proud tradition in support of hope our childrens' future for over twenty years. This nationally recognized campaign is a celebration of our decision to remain committed to our community's children by embracing the promise of their life's goals by saying "no" to drugs and "yes" to their hopes and dreams.
On Monday, October 22nd, students will receive their Red Ribbon wristbands as a reminder to " Lend a Hand" and remain drug-free. Tuesday, October 23rd we will be showing our support for the cause by tipping our hats on "Hats off to Fighting Drugs" Day. Student should wear their favorite hat or ball cap to school. On Wednesday, October 24th, students will be wearing their favorite college or university shirt and wearing sunglasses as we "Look Towards our Bright and Drug-free Future". Thursday, October 25th, all classes will be wearing a designated color for their grade level to celebrate the Six Pillars of Character Counts. The grade colors are as follows: Kinder/Yellow, First Grade/Red, Second Grade/Orange, Third Grade/Blue, Fourth Grade/Purple, Fifth Grade/Green. Red Ribbon Week will conclude on Friday, October 26th on "Wear Red" Day, when all students and staff will be wearing red. Thank you in advance for supporting this important and worthy cause.
